Lodge Moor Children’s Choir (LMCC) is a non-auditioned choir for children between the ages of 7 and 12. Children don’t require any previous musical or choir experience to join us, just enthusiasm and a love of singing! This will be nurtured and encouraged at LMCC where together we enjoy exploring a range of interesting and sometimes exclusive choral arrangements that take in a range of different styles from the traditional to the modern. Some styles explored include musical theatre, gospel & spiritual, English song & folk, ballad & popular song and world music. Each style provides unique challenges and opportunites for learning.
From fun warm-up songs to vocal technique training and preparation for exhilarating performances, children will always feel motivated at LMCC and will leave sessions feeling uplifted, proud and amazed at their achievements, and most importantly, with a new found confidence which they can take with them into other areas of their lives.
LMCC meets on Friday evenings during school term time, from 4pm until 5pm. Our venue is St. Luke’s Church, Lodge Moor which is on Blackbrook Road - S10 4LQ and can be accessed using the 51 bus route, which stops on the corner of Redmires Rd/Blackbrook Rd.
Choir is £4.50 a session and is payable in advance in non-refundable half termly blocks. Choir members will be issued with an invoice towards the end of each half term so that ‘subs’ can be collected in advance of the next half term.
